DA Approval for Solana Bargara Signals Continued Portfolio Growth

Development Approval has been achieved for a new Solana Lifestyle Resort in Bargara, with 409 homes planned for a 17-hectare site just five kilometres from Stockwell’s Bargara Central shopping centre. The approval marks the next stage in the growth of Stockwell’s Solana portfolio, building on a consistent approach shaped by experience and an understanding of how the people of these communities live and connect.

Across Queensland, each Solana location has been carefully considered for its natural beauty  and positioned alongside established retail and service hubs to respond to existing demand. This integrated approach brings together residential living and everyday convenience, creating places that are beautiful but also practical, connected and designed for long-term value.

This continues in Bargara, where the project sits in proximity to Bargara Central, a Stockwell-owned retail centre that plays an important role in the local community. The connection between the two reinforces a broader approach to placemaking, where retail and residential work together to support daily life and strengthen community connection over time.

The approved masterplan will offer a range of housing options for the over-50s, designed to suit different lifestyles. Flexible garage configurations, including dedicated RV space, respond to the needs of a market seeking both practicality and the ability to maintain an active, travel-oriented lifestyle.

At the centre of the community will be the Livewell Centre, an exclusive space designed to support resident’severyday living. With a mix of indoor and outdoor facilities, it provides a place for residents to stay active, connect with others or spend time close to home.

As the portfolio continues to grow, the focus remains consistent: delivering projects that respond to community needs, integrate with their surroundings and contribute to the broader network of places where people live, shop and connect.
