How Can I Invest with Stockwell Private Capital?
Solana, Northern Beaches Mackay
Stockwell Private Capital provides eligible Wholesale and Sophisticated Investors with opportunities to co-invest with Stockwell in property-based investments.
Investors can participate through several commonly used structures, including a self-managed super fund, a family trust, a company, or their individual name. The process is straightforward, beginning with confirming your eligibility and selecting the structure through which you would like to invest.
Who Can Invest with Stockwell Private Capital?
Stockwell Private Capital investment opportunities are available to Wholesale and Sophisticated Investors.
Some business owners, primary producers, professionals and retirees may meet the eligibility criteria without realising it. One common way to qualify is through a certificate from a qualified accountant confirming that the investor:
has net assets of at least $2.5 million; or
earned gross income of at least $250,000 in each of the previous two financial years.
The certificate generally must have been issued within the preceding six months. Other eligibility pathways may also apply depending on the investor and investment opportunity.
Four Ways to Invest
Eligible investors can participate through a range of established investment structures.
Self-Managed Super Fund
An SMSF may be used to invest in eligible Stockwell Private Capital opportunities, subject to the fund’s trust deed, investment strategy and applicable superannuation requirements.
Family Trust
Investors may participate through an established family trust, allowing the investment to be held and managed as part of the family’s broader wealth strategy.
Company
A company may be used to make an investment, which can suit those who already hold business assets or other investments through a corporate structure.
Individual
Eligible investors can also invest directly in their individual name or, where permitted, jointly with another eligible investor.
Why Investment Structure Matters
The structure used for investment can affect taxation, administration, ownership, and estate planning outcomes. Many investors choose to use a structure they already have in place as part of their broader wealth strategy.
Before investing, it is important to seek independent financial, taxation and legal advice to determine which structure is appropriate for your circumstances.
