Stockwell Lodges Development Application for Hervey Bay Central
Stockwell has officially lodged a development application (DA) for Hervey Bay Central, a new mixed-use retail destination set to further shape the future of Nikenbah and the wider Fraser Coast.
Planned for 290–308 Chapel Road, the 4.37-hectare site is proposed as a staged development featuring a supermarket, specialty shops, medical and commercial services, a tavern with a bottle shop, a childcare centre, and a swim school/gym. Together, these facilities will bring greater convenience and amenity to the growing Nikenbah community.
The vision for Hervey Bay Central is to create a local hub where everyday needs are met alongside lifestyle and family-focused offerings. With over 400 car parks and provisions for RV parking, the centre is designed to be easily accessible for the local area, including the neighbouring Solana Hervey Bay.
For Stockwell, this project represents more than a new retail centre. It continues a legacy of investing in communities across Queensland — a legacy built over 72 years of delivering residential, retail, and mixed-use projects that support long-term growth.
By introducing services and spaces that respond to community needs, Hervey Bay Central will play a vital role in supporting sustainable economic development in the region.
