Stockwell's residential development Dutton Place, Brisbane, was completed on schedule in September 2012.  Stockwell was responsible for the design, project management and sale of the apartment complex.  Dutton Place was developed at a cost of $49m.

Dutton Place is located in the traditional inner Brisbane suburb of Dutton Park which is undergoing urban renewal with new developments and improved services.  It is only 2.8km from the CBD and less than 1km to both the Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals, and the Eleanor Schonell Bridge linking to the University of Queensland.  Transport links include Dutton Park and Park Road Train Stations within 200m, a Buslink bus stop at the development and the new bus portal at the Boggo Road Urban Village adjacent to the site.

Dutton Place has 100 residential units in four separate buildings and is tailored to property investors, students and young professionals in the rental market.  The development’s amenities include:

  • Swimming pool and BBQ area
  • Private landscaped gardens
  • 128 secure basement carparks
  • Communal bicycle racks
  • Secure storage allocated to select units

As part of the development, remedial works were undertaken on a heritage listed porphyry stone wall to ensure its heritage significance was retained.  The restoration and preservation of the porphyry wall was awarded the Governor’s Heritage Award in 2012.  Additionally, the impressive Moreton Bay fig tree on Walton Street was retained and protected to complement the extensive landscaping of the development.
